This is what I started with . . . . . .

A slightly worn rear fender

a bit on the dirty side with a mounting bolt or two broken/missing

The tank wasn't bad at all

A few nicks and scratches on the front fender

and some dirt to remove

So away we go with a liberal use of a HD wire brush in the angle grinder

Some underlying surface rust evident

Replacing some of those broken/missing mounting bolts

This needed to be ground out and filled where the water ingressed the ribs

A quick five coats of 2K epoxy filling primer well sanded between coats

A few coats of 2K epoxy paint for a surface

The fuel tank

First thing is to remove the nice badges under the heavy laquer finish

Then into the bath for a liberal dose of 800 grade wet/dry paper hand sanding

ready for the new paint

On with just two coats of 2K epoxy primer well sanded between coats as the finish was good here

Two coats of 2K epoxy paint for a surface

Two coats of 2K epoxy paint for a surface on the front fender

With all the airbrushing done the lots gets a good rub down with fine grade WD followed by some t-cut

and 3 coats of wax to give me the final look

The final finish to the Honda Shadow - Dragons
